In the collage shown at right, I helped the customer select four images of her daughters swimming during the course of the 2007 - 2008 winter swim season. I strove to balance the relative sizes and dynamic content of the images, and I arranged them to bring the eye into the center of the collage where I included a title for the piece. Having the images printed on a single sheet of archival paper makes the framing job much less expensive, since the framer only has to mount one print instead of five (including the text). This approach allows you to more easily change the outer mat if you change the decor. Click here to see how this collage came together. |
