Autumn Images

Autumn is one of my favorite times of the year.   Nature provides a wonderful palette and some great light with which to work, and it is simply a great time to be out in the woods whether "next door" at Great Falls or along the C&O Canal or further afield.  

Many of my autumn images include or are almost exclusively reflections. I like to use the flowing water to show an essence of the colors and the season in an impressionistic way. I also like to get close to the individual leaves to capture and share the texture and detail that disappear when you look at a tree from normal viewing distances.
